Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your SystmOnline account
- phone or visit us after 2:30pm and we will tell you what the results are
Questions about your results
If you want to talk to someone about your results, call us after 2:30pm on 023 8044 6733. You can also visit the practice to ask for your test results at reception.
Specimens/samples
If you are asked to provide a sample or specimen for a test, please ask at reception for the appropriate container. Samples provided in the incorrect container will not be accepted and the sample will need to be retaken.
It is important that samples are suitably labelled with name, date of birth, date provided and the reason for the sample, when handed in. The sample will need to be retaken if this is not provided.
Tests arranged by your hospital consultant
If your test was originally requested by a clinic or hospital, please call the clinic or hospital for the result. We will not be informed of your results for these due to the tests being requested by other clinicians and health providers.
