Chaperone policy

A chaperone is a person who accompanies another to provide supervision, support, or protection during intimate medical examinations by a health professional. We will always respect your privacy, dignity and your religious and cultural beliefs particularly when intimate examinations are advisable. These will only be carried out with your express agreement, and you will be offered a chaperone to attend the examination if you so wish.

You may request a chaperone for any procedure, test or examination. Please note both male and female team members work within the practice, if you have a preference. Please discuss this when you book your appointment.
