Woolston and Chartwell Partnership is an active training practice, and we may offer you an appointment with a GP registrar. These doctors are fully qualified and will have worked in several hospitals. They are completing their specialist training as a GP.
We also teach medical students and sometimes we may ask you to see the doctor or nurse with a student present. We will always ask you if this is acceptable. You may ask for the student to leave if you prefer to have your appointment in private. Medical students may sometimes ask if you mind being interviewed as part of their training.
Patients do, of course, have the right to decline in helping with assessment & training. However, we hope that most will feel happy to assist in the education and training of our future health professionals.
